Dear all,
This is my first time posting in MWF, heck, this is my first time posting in forums too, yes, I am a noob both in watches and forum posting.
Anyway,
I've purchased a Tissot PR50 a few years ago for about RM700, and the watch quit on me not too long ago, and repairs cost almost RM500, which is obviously too expensive, anyone knows of a good third party repair shop?
If repairs fail, am looking for an entry level ORIS F1 series, any good recommendation?

No experience in any repair shop as I am new also... haha
How about Oris skeleton F1?
Kaka!
-
yeah, been eyeing that one, slightly overbudget, contemplating to strech, there is a cheaper model though.

Tag F1? If you dont mind a Quartz..
Kaka!
-
yeah, settled for a skeleton F1, old model, hope to post a review soon!

Bought your tissot for rm700, and repair cost takes rm500 - simply not logical (not worth) imho.
Save your $$ and tops it up to buy a new tissot for all it worth...
my 2 cts

if this watch has sentimental value then i think it's worth to fix it even if it's cost you MYR500.
It's really depend, a repair cost you MYR500 and how about a new one? MYR1500? It's tripple the price that you going to pay. I say this if your objective is not to spend more but by buying a new watch will cost you more then that.. Totally thinking straight from the spending/$ point of view. But if you like to get a new watch, why not?
And i assume MYR500 was quote by the authorize Tissot service center? If so, i think after the service/repair you can use your watch again for another 3 to 5 years?
Just my opinion.
