Quartz u dont have to worry about the accuracy cause normally quartz is pretty accurate when it dies off just simply change a new batt.

Automatic sometimes it may go a lil faster or slower and needs to send for service every 5-6 years to prolong the movement.

But at the end of the day is all depends on ur liking in actual fact there is no such thing as which is better. For me GShock is a great grab and go watch. Cheers..!

My brother own the automatic version.. I must said it is nice to see the rotor from the back of the watch.. And the rotor is much more smooth to rotate than my automatic Rado.. If you wear it daily, I recommend the automatic version.

The design of the watch is fine.
I just heard quite alot of issues regarding the C01-211 movement.
A friend of mine sent his watch back twice for movement change.
Once is still within warranty period, another time he was asked to paid for it.
It happened within a space of 30 months.
Just be careful.

If you do not mind a quartz watch and prices of both are within your budget, just go for the watch that sings to u i.e one that will be more likely to get you to say "Damn, this watch is a beauty and is so comfortable to wear". That is all that matters, IMHO... ;D

I'm currently using the T055.417.11.057.00 model. Quartz movement and this is my first Swiss original watch. Been using it for couple of years and so far I'm still happy to own and to wear it. No issues and got a friend who actually use the same model and went scuba diving with it. If u got chemistry with the watch, go for it.

Auto for me!

It's like cycling to me... auto is where you have to cycle but end of the day, it feels more satisfying than riding a motorised bicycle (quartz).

Quartz if you prefer hassle-free (without the need to service, just battery change every few years) and accuracy.

Automatic if you're appreciates the mechanical aspect of watches and the movements but it comes with a price which is the 5 years servicing schedule. :)

Go for auto if u appreciate the craftsmanship, complexity and no. of hours spend by watch makers in assembling mechanical watches, but do prepare to spend some $ for servicing after several years of usage.

Go for quartz if u prefer watches that can just wear and go, however I remembered someone told me that quartz engines are very much identical regardless of their price range, which mean a rm1k++ watch may use the same engine in a rm500++ watch  :-[
