I almost always deal with buyers or sellers at banks, whether day or night. Why? Because there are many CCTVs around, in case of any problems. Another watch enthusiast that I met also shared that he was robbed of his watch once. This chap asked him to meet at a cafe, then when he was starting to show the watch, another chap walked by and just snatched the watch and ran off. The owner ran after the chap that snatched his watch but couldn't catch up; and when he returned to the cafe, the "buyer" had vanished with the watch box and manual.

Personally, when I meet to COD, I always get it done at a McDonalds, preferably upstairs, where there is little room to sneak away. I don't have much time in the day.
-
Just to share with you guys, I always insist on holding the buyer's Identity Card b4 handling the watch over for inspection. If he is a genuine buyer, he should have no qualms in letting you keep his IC while he is handling your expensive watch.
-
Even is a genuine buyer, but he might not be comfortable to hand over ic to you, cause ic is a very personal item.
-
Damn. This is very bad.

Well... And I won't be comfortable with a stranger handling my luxury watch. The seller has more to lose as some watches are as good as cash...and you really can't do much with just the IC of a person.

Maybe we should bring someone else with us during the meeting with the buyer / seller. At least he can help if something bad happen
