Good work Mr. Duncan. nice...

Great system AP has. Protect original owner.
Brings up the issue of purchasing 2nd hand watches without box and papers, gonna purchase it full set in future.
-
Well even some merchant/forumers listed some watches with no papers too so how ? Moderators and fellow members, should these be allowed or should we stay away from no papers watches ? :o :'(
-
send the watch to service center for authentication If you buying from private seller or merchant who dnt own a brick and mortar shop? Keep the receipt if you buying from shop so that the liability is on the shop if found the watch are stolen.
Emptor caveat. When the deal is too good to believe then stay away unless you are real good and technically sound.

what if the owner sell off the watch to someone and report to police that his watch are missing? i think is abit unfair to the 3rd buyer. sometimes we sell used watch to friend without knowing the history of the watch.

On side note, $8686 looks like a very good price for an AP royal oak, no?
-
good system though, AD or GD?

Just wandering if we purchased a new watch from grey dealer, for example Rolex. Will the watch registered under our name in the Rolex system ? Just wanted to reassure the comfortable purchase, that something like this case might happen to anyone in the future.

As far as i know, rolex doesn't bother about stolen rollies. They had discontinued their so called stolen registry few years back. Maybe the sifu(s) members can confirm this.
