when a pc has no % and u like it very much and you have budget...why not?

i think discount practice mostly happen in Asia but now even happen in some Europe country.... we actually has been spoiled by the %  ::)

i bought all my pam with 0% discount  ::) but that was 1 or 2 yrs ago before Panerai stock getting more and more here in Msia.

Watches like other goods and services - the transaction price is determined by demand and supply.  If the demand is high (like Rolex and PAM), you will hardly get much discount.   In fact, for some you have to pay premium over the list price (e.g. Daytona).  For those where the demand is less than supply, the selling price will likely drop.

So don't feel so good next time you got a big discount, it just mean that not many people like the one you are buying!   ;D   Just like my Alain Silberstein - but I am fine with that!

But have you ever thought that the ADs or sellers had marked up their prices before giving in the discount?
since they know buyers would normally demand a discount!

No, MRSP is standard.
Unless they sell with premium price for certain watches, i.e. pam000

it really depends on how much i want the watch..if the urge is too strong, i will buy it without the discount. having said that, i will not buy a watch at a premium.
