Gallet Pilot. Movement : Excelsior park 40-68 (1970's)
Some pics of the movements:
(very nice underrated movement, was used in Vintage Zeniths and GP too...)
Excelsior park 4 on the left and Excelsior park 40 on the right (if you look closely on the top left lug of EP40 we have a "H" mark, if your watch is with EP40 you will most likely have this mark stamped (widely guessed as to mark the watch has the 12hour recorder)
Upgraded excelsior park 40-68 (introduced on 1968 hence the 68 ;) )
Hope you all like it....

Woah Rainbowfix... your collection of vintage Zeniths and these vintage chronograph is really impressive.
Hoping you would join us in future MWF annual dinner so that we can have a closer look.
Thanks for sharing.
Just a question though, what is your motivation in your collection? The theme?
-
Interesting to know Gallet used so many different movement for its chrono ...
Lovely collection ! Thanks for sharing
Looking forward to meet you again... Each time meeting is like time nvr enough !
U hv time to join the coming Br gtg
-
Hmm this collection is by no means little or small. Very nice collection.

Hi Thanks all... glad you all like them. They are a gem. Some of you may already know this but for those who don't, Gallet is the oldest watch company in the world from 1466... (more than 500 years) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallet_%26_Co. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallet_%26_Co.). And Jim Clark is a race "Driver" not a race diver (typo)
@Hanz079 - My Theme or 'the lack of it' is simple, I just collect great looking vintage divers and chronographs!  Each has a little story to tell be it the design, the history, the movement, the military connection....(but still the look is the most important) and it just happen that Zenith, Heuer, Breitling, Enicar et al make some really good looking ones. Pity cos some of them went down because of the quartz onslaught and never bounce back.... Universal Geneve is one example.... a great pity.. I hope they will bounce back.
@Chris - Just wants to share something out, more coming just need sometime to sort the watches out.. hopefully we will see more vintage watch enthusiasts... and will try to join the BR gtg.... but I think I might see you earlier than that....some watches need to go to the "watch hospital" ....
@ Lazarus - Haha.. really this is just a small collection of Gallets....
-
Damn.. your collection is very cool.. thanks for sharing.. Can't wait till we see the rest ..
-
Way to go bro! I always enjoy seeing your nice and diverse collection... thanks for sharing. Good to see the "Supporting Actors" getting some limelight.

I am somewhat regretted selling this rarely seen flying officer couple of year ago. It was also depicted at the Gallet World http://www.galletworld.com/gallet_chronograph_watch_flight_officer.html

you like that brand Gallet very much.
the watch in the first picture looks quite old like the antique, which year did it created?
-
Never really knew Gallet company is that old and still very much efficient.
Thanks for the information and share and you really got a good collection there.

Thanks. Just sharing the vintage love...
... Gallet are getting more and more attention in the vintage community... but still a very under valued bunch.
