should I go for pre-owned Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller? or Submariner or Brand New IWC Split Fire?
why Rolex? caused many ppl saying every man need a Rolex? Is is true?
I saw some shop selling pre-owned Sea Dweller for RM16k-19k, is it worth to buy? Want to check when buying those pre-owned watches? Heard some said they might changed the internal parts..so how to confirm with it?
Thank you for your help.

buy what you like not what people say....
you will be wearing that watch...
if you buy something others say that you dont like, you will flip it eventually at a loss...
personally i prefer Rolex Sub....

I am not sure if every man needs a Rolex, I would say any serious collector must have a Rolex in there somewhere.
As for buying pre owned, if you have doubts...
Can always deal at Rolex Centre Menara Dion and confirm everything is OK before parting with your cash.
If you're still doubtful, buy brand new then.
Worth or not is up to you.
Some people say buying a watch for 20k is not worth it while some say a 20k Rolex is value for money for a luxury watch...

If you can get a good condition pre-owned DSSD at RM20K, by all means, buy it!!!!
Sell it later if you don't like and still can make some money.

sub c

Sub or Hulk
-
I feel either a sea dweller or submariner.
My personal choice would be a grand seiko snowflake though :)

Rolex has stable re-sale value, prices dropping 50% over night will not happened. for IWC, a in-house movement pre-owned pcs is a better choice

volks check Non Reno Talk... there is a thread on this

When talking about 20k budget, it always about rolex, iwc, panerai and so forth,,
Jus wondering Why no omega was suggested in 20k range? Omega always appear in suggestion in below 10k.
Check out the Aqua terra was quite nice piece as well and it in the range of 20k for a new one.

Would go for a pre-own Patek Philippe Aquanaut at a bit more than 20k.
Between Rolex and IWC, it's Rolex without a doubt.
-
Are u sure DSSD can get from rm16k?? Must be Sea Dweller only not DSSD... :o :o

Go for Rolex, instant recognition... rolex sub c
-
DSSD for 16-19k?! Not so sure about that price. rolex is definitely a great addition. Don't let ppl tell you what you should buy.
I concur with the rest on starting with sub C or a GMT, if u want to be different a Milgauss is perfect too
-
if you want recognition, no doubt a Rolex will instantly boost your status to "I've made it" among your friends.
if you like to enjoy and admire find timepiece and syiok sendiri, perhaps a Grand Seiko will do
