We had a micro GTG this afternoon in Dubai Mall. It was the first time meeting a MWF member here, Ek Lek and introducing him also to some of my friends around. Here's a photo report:
So we started of in the IWC boutique with some interesting pieces:

The Pilot’s Watch Double Chronograph Edition “Patrouille Suisse” (Ref. IW377805) is quiet a hefty watch. I'm not a fan of a dbl chrono nor its size but the combination of the grey slate dial, sandblasted stainless steel and the soft fabric is a great example of proper and thoughtful use of materials.

The Retail Director's watch (blue PPC) with one of our friends trying out the Stainless Steel Portuguese PPC.

The 'Special Edition' Little prince Pilot Chronograph

Limited Edition Ju-Air Pilot Chronograph

...someone is contemplating deeply between this two....

... and behold, there is a Siderale Scafusia in the boutique...
This assembly is platinum on silver dial and platinum index and hands, with platinum stitching on leather. I was told that this particular piece is carrying the customized star-chart referenced to 24.412°N 54.474°E.
Google it and you'll find out why it's special and being displayed here.
With the pricetag starting from USD900k, I think this watch is more expensive than all the watches I've tried on in my lifetime...
Swing by next door and took noticed of another impressive timepiece:

Interesting piece in Lange boutique… 31 days PR! Apparently the spring stands at 1.85 metre!

Thanks Sidestreaker and Oliver for the great eye opener into the world of IWC, Lange and Glasshutte, I have to admit the poison for IWC is exceptionally fascinating!

Thanks for the comprehensive sharing, drooling for the a Lange sohne..
-
The 31-day PR Lange is
-
I have never seen, or expect, a mechanical watch that could retain a 31-days of PR, this intrigued me to drill more into the movement and especially the main spring system... for those who are interested, below is the link, enjoy...

Ek Lek, great meeting you and looking forward to the next GTG!
The Lange Saxonia Annual Calender is still in my head right now, and probably made the deepest impression for the day.
at 38.5mm x 10mm It's one of those luxury watches that you can wear everyday...
-
Some heavy artillery there man! :o
-
The SS boutique edition of IWC PC is nice and light in weight when I tried it but the price is crazy (S$39K)....
