Hi everyone, I'm in a dilemma where i can't make up my mind of which to choose among the both brand above, since its my first luxury watch I'm purchasing, i would want to have the best.
-
Depends on what your liking is...as for me, I would happily choose the Rolex Sub all day long. After you have purchased an icon, you can move on to whatever watch you want.

Omega : 42 mm
Sub : 40 mm
Both are great watches. What is your wrist size?
-
What is your budget? Both are priced at different spectrums. If you can afford the Rolex, I'd go with the Rolex because it is a Rolex and it comes with the usual pedigree associated with one. The Omega is a very good watch in its own right and for its price, is very much worthwhile as well.
-
Sicne you have to choose one, I would say Rolex Sub coz it is a classic!
If you go for Omega, I am very sure you will long for Rolex Sub later. But if you go for Rolex Sub as your 1st luxury watch, you may decide you won't need the Omega.
Ideally, have both :Laughing_on_floor:. So work harder and save up for them. Cheers!! ;D

When you buy a watch dont bother about its size. the Swiss manufactures have the size of the european wrist in mind when they produced the watch.so if anything can fit their bigger wrist why cant it fit the smaller asian wrist? Example Lange is down sizing its Lange 1815 to 38mm. The Rolex 36mm president still sells better than the 41 mm president. When i put on the Pam 048 of 40 mm ,i do think its still a good size and when i put on my DSSD it fits me well also and so does my slim ap 36 mm. Its all in the head and about perception only, but remember that the slimmer the movement the more expensive the watch will sell.Just my few cents of perception.
Omega : 42 mm
Sub : 40 mm

Well it is a given .... Rolex SubC no date, truly iconic and versatile watch. :Dancing_banana:
Omega can be your next pruchase ..
-
Between the two, I'l go for a sub ND, which is an iconic watch with a rich history, easily recognised the world over. ;D
-
Submariner

A rather clear cut answer from me
Rolex Sub ND +1
-
sub would make a great first luxury watch and here some of the reasons why:
iconic.
cult following.
comfortable.
robust.
accuracy is good even for 10 year old ones.
plenty of places to service the watch.
rolex service centre charge decent servicing fee.
heck! some of my friends been wearing theirs for more than 10 years without needing servicing.
for a flipper - it doesn't depreciate much and easily sold.
for my boss - it has to be easily visible and recognizable :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor:
it is as good as money anywhere you go

Submariner gets my vote
By the way, there is no such thing as Submariner no date, only Submariner and Submariner Date.
-
Better save up and buy the Subdate.
I had the same dilemma 2 years ago. I ended up with the Omega Seamaster Chronodiver because insufficient budget. I enjoyed wearing the Seamaster alot and it is a fantastic watch. In my heart, I still longed for the Sub.
In the end still didn't get the Sub but ended up with the Deepsea Seadweller which is the ultimate Rolex Toolwatch. :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana: :Dancing_banana:
My advice, save up for the Subdate or Sub.

Omega : 42 mm
Sub : 40 mm
Both are great watches. What is your wrist size?
my opinion the sub c nd wears a little larger due to its redesigned lugs.
-
both are fine, whichever tickle your senses. I will go for sub 14060 as it is classic
-
Please , ...it's going to be submariner :)
-
Buy the Seamaster if it sings to ur heart. Then wear it in good health for few years (or months) until the Sub comes calling.. Save again, get the Sub and voila! U'll be proud owner of two nice iconic timepieces. Came fr my own personal experience.

Vote for sub

Seamaster.
I bought a Rolex first and, while it is a superb watch, it is not worth the price IMO. The Omega is equally superb and cost about 25% of my Sea-Dweller. Enough said.

Once upon a time, Omegas were a really good deal. Now the price gap is closing fast.

Not really. A new Sub is maybe US$7k, a new Seamaster maybe half that. And my used Seamaster was under US$1500. Still very expensive, but great value compared to any Rolex.

Sub C for me

All the reply are bias but I like it

I have the same dilemma as you but mine is sub c no date vs omega planet ocean , been to both AD for straight fews day to try on and compare, I like the iconic submariner but I like the modern look and size on planet ocean, end up I buy planet ocean with no regret , but deep inside! I still long for rolex submariner, you won't regret with either one! just see which one sang more louder to u
