There are many way we can wear a watch. There are some who prefer to wear on bracelet as they see it as more Chic(classy). There are some who prefer to wear it on strap made from cow or shark or crocs as it is more Classique(classic). There’s some who love to wear Bracelet en Caoutchouc (rubber strap). Finally they are this bunch of wearer who wanted to have Masculin(masculine) and Tough look who look onto looped strap aka nato/zulu strap which I focus onto it.

At one time of my life, I actually fall in love wearing Nato as at that time my wrist is small. Nato strap is the only option for me as it is most cost effective and being very durable and easy to replace. Hell even my dress watch at that time were replaced with nato strap as you can see in that nomos.

But then, after wearing a while. I felt something is missing when wearing standard offering of nato/zulu strap. Its hard describe in words but they something lacking which you wont get when wearing ether bracelet or leather strap. Another reason is that it is THICK which made watch thicker than usual and finally it may looked out of place in formal situation.

Meet up with one of forum member few days ago and I noticed one thing when I check out his watch. Notice that there a nato strap there BUT it is leather as well. It is THIN too yet feel solid. I am sure it wont look out of place when worn in boardroom or was having sporty activity outside. The two pictures below is worth a thousand words.

Seen this made me wanted to convert some of my watch into this nato leather strap. I actually worried about the durability of the strap since it is quite thin but he actually assured me that everything will be all right as the strap are made by Wontancraft from Taiwan who well known in making panerai straps. For those who are afraid to buy online, there this forum where you are currently reading carries this product. I myself is considering getting this as to get something different after knowing that wearing this will made really stand out with style amongst watches in the wild that are in either strap or bracelet. I am sure whatever it was put onto it will look good as the photo’s above.
Nevertheless lets discuss what your preferences when wearing your watches?

Looks like I am the first to respond.
I used to wear bracelet exclusively but now have taken a liking to leather strap. Call it a preference or fetish if u will...

I chose bracelet only because i sweat a lot. Leather and humidity dont mix well and the leather would end up deteriorating and smelling. I do love the look of leather but alas, unless i am staying in a place that is dry, i dont see myself wearing leather strap watches.

I own all the type of straps/bracelets as stated in your options.
I change them depends on the mood and attire like a "Risti" ;D
But 70% of the time I stayed with steel bracelet.

i like to wear watches on leather...
simply love the smell...
and it is comfy too...

I would prefer bracelet. However, sometimes it is depends on the watch as to what type of band it should coupled with. Panerai do not goes well with bracelet and Rolex will look awful on rubber strap.

have always preferred leather...but some of my favourite pieces only look good in bracelet (IMHO)

I guess it depends on the weather.
Leather for me if in the office as I'm staying indoor most of the time and in AC.
If there's any outdoor activities, under the hot, humid and sweaty conditions, I'd go rubber...
For some reason, I've been avoiding bracelet watches...

i like on leather, all depand on the watch, either it suit on leather nice or rubber or bracelet.....

I prefer metal bracelet most of the time due to comfort and its flexibility.

sounds like a poll to check on popularity of leather straps....
Anyway, I tend to go with what's best for the model. Rolex usually on bracelets. Go anywhere, do anything. But get them all scratched up in the process. AP for me is best on OEM leather or rubber. Haven't found anyone making a good fit AP leather strap.

After many year with SS bracelet, I've addicted to leather strap as the veins tell the ages especially on those vintage one..

I had my preference toward metal bracelet as it is go everywhere type of item. I tend to be more care if i am wearing leather strap.
Like nato for sometime but got tired of it and decide to stick back to bracelet. If i ever go leather strap i go for custom vintage style. :thumbsup:

Depends on situations. if for office dress watch, on leather strap. if activity for the day includes semi-office + outdoor, bracelet. if mostly outdoor activities, bracelet / rubber.

I prefer brecelet..but it depends too... :-\ I only like the left bracelet than the right one.

I prefer steel bracelet coz they matches well with most cases most of the time but that too depends on the design of the bracelet.

Leather for me.
I prefer the look and feel of leather while I always have problem deciding on the right size when adjusting my bracelet.

bro as long as your hand don't caught in the metal bracelet then it is alright... gold bracelet make my skin itch.
one thing i like about non-metal bracelet is my wife can easily swap watches with me compared to bracelet i can't swap them with my wife.

When I was living in Europe some years back, it was mostly leather during cold weather and bracelet during summer. Here and now back in our tropical weather, I generally prefer to buy the stainless steel or titanium bracelet models; thereafter depending on occasion, may swap with leather or Nato. But bracelet is still the most versatile in this weather, although I have had let go off some almost-new watches due to disappointing bracelets (very hollow, no wrist presence, etc). Solid link bracelets give the most satisfaction :thumbsup:

I wore my explorer II on its bracelet for 20 years. Now I am really into nato straps, especially the leather ones. It completely changes the look of the explorer. Have one on order from Bas & Lokes. Will put in some pics when i get it.
