The pilot / flieger / B-uhr design that we can see nowadays in IWC, Laco, Archimede, Stowa, Steinhart, Orient, Seiko....etc etc was derived from the WWII pilot watch which is easily recognised by the triangle at 12'o clock position and the numberings. AFAIK this design is not copy righted by any of the brand, where there're five brand being appointed to produce this watches to the German military during war time which are the : Lange,IWC,Laco,Stowa and Wempe.

My question is, the historical model is always a 3 hand watch and the design is not own by any of the brand, how about the Chronograph design?? I believe there are no Flieger watch with the chronograph layout yet during the war time? Then which brand is the one who produced the Flieger inpired Chrono???

Of any sifu here has a good understanding in-terms of copy righting of the design??

Tutima Calibre 59. Commission in 1941 with military specification. It may not be designated as a Flieger but it sure looks like one!
