At least you had some time with it before hehehe.....
Great photos.
I wish Seiko would produce more of these pattern dials. You will only notice it upon close inspection and its so cool.
As for the secs hand of the GS, i think no one can come close even at 10x its price point.

Beautiful watch!  I would have joined the club with SBGE001 if not because I got a Canon 1D MkIV this month.  The watch just have to wait a bit more.

I don't think so.  Despite the better recognition of Seiko and GS nowadays, many would still reluctant to put down Rolex or Omega type of money for a GS.  Only a few would be crazy enough to get one.  To many, a watch also reflects status symbol and chossing between a GS and Rolex, most of them will choose the later.  Moreover, with Seiko in some sort of trouble (management change and financial losses), I don't think this is a good time to up their prices!

As for me... Seiko is still my no1 brand . If you read my blog. U know why. Hehe..  ;D

As for our community, for the people who is not a watch fan.. if they want to buy a branded watch, most are going for the most famous brand like Tag Heuer, Omega, Rolex, etc. They think its the best. But don't know about the watches at all. Just bought it just for a 'status'. My friend met a lady who used a Rolex in a retailer. She said her watch using heart beat for power & the watch is not moving anymore. She said it very proudly... ye la... Rolex ma... Hahaha.... My friend who coincident to be there, explain over & over to her about automatic movement to make her understand. Proved that she know nothing about watches. Some are buying a watch without knowing about it... worst is they even provoke others who buy a 'cheapo' brand. That not a good spirit for a watch collector.  :(

Some wont ever bother about other brand who they think a 'cheapo' brand. They don't know the 'cheapo' brand such as Seiko, Citizen also have a high end watches which sell over RM10k. Maybe they will got heart attack to know it. Haha...

I don't care about any brand as long it gave me satisfaction. Satisfaction is the 1st thing 1 want as a collector.  ;D

Sad to say some ppl who buy gadzillion ringgit watch dont know a thing of too...

Seiko does a good watch in my opinion. Just that they now supersize all of em  :HammerHead:

That GS damn pretty even tho it is battery powered but still 10 sec per year accuracy

Yup. Big & heavy metal.... I just felt the new model lost some 'spice' (for the low end model)... not like the old one... Don't know how to say this, but theres something missing...  ???

BTW the GS, superb!

doesn't matter what brand it is, as long as you are fulfilled when you wear it, hold it, touch it, rub it... then it's a good watch!
