Seriously looking shopping for a 14060 cause my 857s would be going in the workshop for quite an extensive time judging from Sinn's poor servicing records.
Surprisingly 40mm is rubbing it greatly on me now cause it's just so comfortable to sleep with :Laughing_on_floor:
yes, admit it. i don;t think i am the only one here who sleeps with a watch. but only when the wife is not around. Don't want to leave a watch imprint on her forehead ;D or else i would be sleeping on the couch.
What my Sinn is in for? Sigh..... fading PVD :-[

Wow bad luck bro.....i feel sorry for ya.
But from the pics sorry i dunno which part i am suppose to look at?
-
It's at both side of the case (lower part).... you can see the black is faded..
but i think that's normal for a PVD watch especially if you wearing it everyday...
-
Here r the areas in question (on Terence behalf). Refer to the photos.
I thought PVD shld be permanent rather those painted on. If wear and tear is the issue here, shldn't it happen after couple of years later.
-
The excessive wear will causing this i suppose but didn't expect its faded so fast :HammerHead:
Not sure if PVD is permanent but i do see a lot PVD happen to be like this after sometimes... possible to send back to SINN and have them fix it? Will they charge?
-
Haha i thought that area was cause of lighting, now i know.
But its strange that those parts of the watch is essentially just touching the skin and can cause it to fade.
I would expect more with PVD.
-
wow.... i can never expect a Sinn to fade like that....bad QC..... :HammerHead:
-
Curious, how long have you had the watch?
-
late november last year
-
Don't know why, I'm not very keen to buy a PVD watch. I had the feeling the PVD will be wear in a long run. But I also had the feeling to get 1 one day. ;D Haha... I saw 1 new PVD watch with the bracelet (also PVD), already show some wear on the bracelet link. Maybe due to the friction between the link. :HammerHead:
-
its that the original PVD or is it DLCed? woah..thats a little bad...

i think you sweat alot!
