IMO this looks better than the red bezel version  :)

Looks boring to me without the gilt dial.

And it's lame to wait 12 months just to release a different bezel colour, as though this is some kind of new model about which we should be excited.

Cynical marketing tactics are lame, Tudor.

Though I am not a fan of red bezel I find the red one better as the dial is printed with gold and it gives a vintage look. Not for this, its plain for this blue

Maybe I'm a modernist, the ori blackbay got too much vintage characteristics  :D

I thought it looked quite good to be honest. Better if the dial was in the same blue as the bezel.

Have to see both side by side.
If base on pictures, I still prefer red and gilt dial.

Hmmm... this may sound biased but the midnight blue version is nice but lacks what the French may call a certain je ne sais quoi... the butterflies in the stomach... the love at first sight... well, in my opinion at least...

think they got the blue right with the heritage chrono but this the BBMB will appeal to some...

Soon they might release the Hulk Blackbay - we have seen this happened. Then, it will further dampen the uniqueness of the original blackbay.

In my opinion, the orginal blackbay does not give rise to a "poor man's sub" perception, owing to its uniqueness.

Now, with the releasing of the blue blackbay (or many other more with various colours, if any in the future), the whole "poor man's sub" perception might re-surfaced - which such perception will not arise if there is only ONE blackbay.

Let's hope the Pelagos will not share the same fate.

The above is merely my opinion.

Soon they might release the Hulk Blackbay - we have seen this happened.

I hope that doesn't happen anytime soon. The Blackbay has a cult due to its own design- the hands are simply a wonder to watch over time, no pun intended. And it has so many Seiko and Invicta homages floating around. It'd be really nice to have the Blue one for days on Mon - Fri, and the Red one for casual Fri though

Prefer the original 'ol-skool' look. This new model looks too much like the Pelagos!
