hi guys,
I'm heading to france for business trip in 2 weeks' time and i've 3 hours to kill while waiting for my connecting flight. I was wondering if anyone bought your watches in Dubai airport? is it cheaper and what kind of discount can one bargain?

Last November I was there, don't expect to much of models. The watch is price in Dinar. You may want them to convert USD. Last year price after conversion is quite reasonable compare to here. But our RM is weakening so I think finally it depends on conversion.

Sorry for going of topic but I just got back from Doha. The duty free there is very affordable. A milgauss GV going for just 20k (after conversion)! I suspect similar prices for Dubai duty free as well.
If I had the funds, i would borong...

Just about everybody is open to bargaining / negotiation IME. Only two rules. Know the actual value of the subject of the negotiation, and be prepared to walk away.

learned this in China, and it works very well when going for the final push... but not easy if you really want that item ;D

Hi guys, I'm not sure if the price is cheaper than other part of the world, the price there is all fixed and non-negotiable. Below are the price i noted down while i was there Dec last year, all in UAE Dirham, you guys may convert it and compare, pls comment about the price...

Looks like standard list price. Not attractive if fixed price.

If you have more than 3 hours to spend, you should get out from Dubai airport and search for gold souq in Dubai town whereby you can find a lot of pre-owned shop selling pre-owned watches with a good competitive price. :thumbsup:
