Had the opportunity to have a close look at my colleague's AT.
It's the previous 2500 model. really great build quality and gives the DJ a run for their money. A real bang for the buck in the pre-own market. But honestly the T/T AT that is so favoured by the manlanders is ugly like hell.
Omega is really making headways in the PRC market because everwhere I go, I see Mainlanders in their boutique.

This AT/s is just wonderful pcs. But my personal opinion is the transparent back, its just put me off. It supposed to be a tough watch, but then the (transparent) back is its weak point.
At one point, my watch sifu told me that it can be fitted with solid back (case back from the quart version). Wonder how true is this.
Just my 2 cents

I think AT is more to a dressy watch hence the display back.

I think they wanna show the new 2500 movement on this one. hence the display caseback.
But one thing that I do not understand is that why would Omega put a display caseback on the Railmaster?
It's basically the same watch; case, movement and all, with a different dial minus the date.
It departs from the original purpose and heritage of the name. But I must admit the railmaster 39mm together with the vintage SM300 is an Omega that I would love to own. the simplicity and large indices of the dial just appeals alot to me.
