hmm till now dare not to get a titanum watch....when need to get it polished its a headache

Actually if its a brushed titanium, you can purchase a Microlon pad from Ofrei.com. Works wonders.

Or you could follow this tutorial:

Steps

1. Cleaned watch (straps removed) using toothbrush with water and mild LIQUID hand soap.

2. Dried watch with hair blower.

3. Rubbed damaged surface using ink eraser with light pressure, in the direction of the brush finish.

4. Routinely inspected the defect with eye loupe on progress. Important as this helped me learn what it takes and does! Patience, patience, patience.....I found that more pressure doesn't mean faster but slowly got the feel of the optimum pressure with routine inspection with eye loupe.

5. Regularly cleaned debris from surface with fingers and tissue paper.

6. I set the standard of "good enough" when not visible to naked eye at 6 inches, and barely or not visible with 5X.

7. When finished, washed the watch again with toothbrush in water and mild LIQUID hand soap. Dried using hair blower.

8. Cleaned watch with "light cloth", which evens out the color of the surfaces, polish with "dark cloth" per instructions of the Cadie Jewelry Cloth (many other similar "two piece" jewelry cloths).

9. Done.

Hope it hels.

I sold this Sammie a while back:

(http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z389/jason_recliner1/Seiko%20SBDA001%20Samurai/DSC_4128edit.jpg) (http://s1187.photobucket.com/user/jason_recliner1/media/Seiko%20SBDA001%20Samurai/DSC_4128edit.jpg.html)

Missed having a Ti piece in the collection so, when a deal came up which I couldn't refuse, I added this 2231.80:

(http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z389/jason_recliner1/Omega%202231-80/DSC_9465sml_zps13e579f6.jpg) (http://s1187.photobucket.com/user/jason_recliner1/media/Omega%202231-80/DSC_9465sml_zps13e579f6.jpg.html)

Bloody loving the Omaga, I gotta say.

I've been hunting for this piece for a relatively long time; and lo and behold, the stars lined up perfectly yesterday and managed the scratch that itch with the purchase of this Kirium Ti5 from another collector whom was off-loading his collection. The Ti5 name referred to Grade 5 Titanium, which was an alloy of Titanium (90%), aluminium (6%), and vanadium (4%). It's a work-in-progress as I have to get a strap to match its looks. Any ideas or recommendations, fellas? I saw from eBay that the original strap costs app RM1k - 2k used, differing between rubber with titanium buckle, and the s/steel bracelet.

i wondering does the titanium watches weight less? I once had my hand on a citizen super-ti. It felt like plastic :( too light for my liking. Which is why i got a victorinox later. The Victorinox is a full SS, felt just as heavy as a rolex Sub.

This interesting article about titanium should answers the questions you have about the material:

After several weeks, the Kirium Ti5 is finally back in my possession after being sent to a watchsmith for retro-fitting with an aftermarket Swiss bracelet. Boy was it worth the wait! Fit and finish was superb!
