Title: Titanium watch below 5k
Post by: roystock on October 23, 2013, 08:29:10 PM
Hi guys,

A colleague of mine was asking for recomendation for titanium watch below 5k.
His is allergic to steel and dislike leather.
He needs an all-rounder.
As I am totally unfamiliar with titanium, can I count on you guys for suggestions?
  :)
Thanks

Ever consider ceramic.
they are hypoallergenic.
very comfortable to wear.
I've two watches that are full ceramic.
Rado skeleton and bell&ross.

1) Tissot T-Touch Titanium series
2) Citizen Eco-Drice

These you can get below 2k

3) Tutima Di-300 (I like this one)

This you can get pre-owned below 4k

or add some more and get pre-owned Omega Speedmaster X-33 Titanium.

There are several grading in titanium . Firstly JLC uses the grade 5 titanium which is one of the best  . If i'm not mistaken, Pam uses the grade 3 on most of their titanium models. Its always nice to wear  a titanium watch which is low profile stealth look and lighter without the bling .Easy to wipe with any cloth etc., regards tony

Thanks for the recommendations so far.
Keep it coming  :D
He had earlier short listed tissot and citizen, both quartz, which I find unattractive.
I will try to persuade him to get a mechanical instead

Seiko shogun is about MYR5k. Ball Madcow, JLC, Pam ,all above MYR5k.

But there is this Citizen Titanium diver 200m-Citizen NY0054, it is not only below MYR5k , it is below MYR1.5k.

What's the difference between grade 3 and 5 titanium?

I have titanium tissot t-touch and it's prone to scratches..
