Hi! Can anyone let me know some info on this watch.. I know it is a Rolex and should be from the 40's or 50's

Hi there, try to look for the model number inbetween the lug, it might be useful.;)
I got one piece I hand also, 5055 bubbleback from the 50s

:o :o :o looks like someone wore it during WWII....u can try getting it restored, if u can find someone with tat kinda skill in msia....tats also assuming u can get hold of all the parts tat new replacement or refurbishment...good luck mate....show us once u get the job done...m sure it's gona b a stunning vintage piece...cheers

I tried once to get a quotation from a watchmaker for restoration.
It costs me a bomb, close to RM11k. :o :o
so i guess, it's good to let it remains in this for a while. ::)
Btw, it's my dad's collection not mine, so i also pura-pura.. :P

Rm11k is slaugthering u man...
I think to restore this will cost u around rm2-3k!
It depend on how u want to restore it.
No relume just cleaning
no repaint dial
do not need to change part
then could b less than rm2k

tht's the quotation from the watch maker from rolex,
saying that the part is broken, need to change in order to make the watch ticking again.
