hi!
Just bought a Laco 42MM Manual Winding Pilot watch...if not mistaken its based on swiss unitas 6498....anyway! i have yet to get the watch, but i should be arriving next week.
mine is with the pilot strap, comes free with another leather spare strap. well! for the price its really recommended for someone who want a pilot watch from a manufacturer which is part of the history of WWII in pilot watch making.
i will post pictures and also the my reviews later.

The Case back - Revealing the Swiss unitas 6498
Actually i was quite disappointed, the unitas 6498 on this watch is really plain as ...well! China made sort!!!! but what to expect, i only paid a fraction of the Replica price...hahah! so guess i have to put up with the plain mech. But seriously, for another additional Euro300, i could have gotten myself a very nice Steinhart manual winding. but i guess i wanted a watch with some history, although this isnt the actual replica.

Finally Hand shot..a must to see the size.

Well! at the moment, i'm happy i got another watch added into my collection. however, maybe i was expecting so much, but i guess its ok to have one which has some history, well! i guess my next one will be the STOWA, then maybe Steinhart or Azimuth....
Thanks for viewing my topic.

Good to see the Laco fan base growing on MWF.
I got the same watch as ck77 except mine has the Laco logo on the dial.
Congrats!

Congrats to another Laco owner.
Well as they say you pay what you get but generally Laco build quality is quite good.
Its interesting to see all the holes at the side of the strap, only Laco straps have this?
-
Well! im also not sure about the strap...i guess there are other makers who make "breathable straps" but its actually quite thick...and hmm...so far not to say uncomfortable..but i think im just not used to it ....
but they send me the wrong one!! well! i emailled them..and they will be sending the pilot strap pretty soon...so i guess i will update the photos later...
but this watch is abit on the rugged side.....now! i have my eyes on the STOWA.....and guys! stowa will be launching a new prototype pretty soon! this im sure most ppl would want....

looks nice!!!

Laco can afford to charge U more for the history behind the watch.
anyway didn't U paid ~EUR$300 for it? Steinhart isnt that much more.. why the additional EUR$300. maybe EUR$100 more.
http://www.steinhartwatches.de/index.php?id=67&artnr=123&Sel_ID=25#123
debaufre prices are higher today due to weak EURO I think. today still have 20% off taking prices down to USD$460 vs Steinhart at ~USD$440

Well! if laco would have charge a premium for their history for the watch..i think they will be in a worst condition then now....but i think they have pull out of the ditch..
well! the steinhart i was eyeing..need about euro300 ...meaning its about euro700...its a limited edition..if not mistaken.
