The M9 is great for street shooting, silent, rather compact size.
If people see a dslr they would be thinking wtf? LOL.
Scott or anyone, organize one and i will join!
ok man.. will organise one.. any suggestions or opinions regarding location or subject?

Honestly, i think for street photography, any point-and-shoot can do the job nicely ;) in my opinion, most important for street shooting is about how much story i wanna tell in my frame and how people interpret the story ;) very very subjective.. and also, i only have maybe less then a second to trigger the shutter, if i missed, that it ;( that's the challenging part really... also, with a good pair of shoe, in case someone chasing you :D kakakak.. kidding!!
Organize what? Street shooting?
LOL Chris ur stomach from that night hot pot heal oledi ah?
No right no wrong..but in general...it started of by recording what happen in the street, be it a building or the people or a scene (like 2 man picking nose using the same hand, etc)... but i can tell you, street photography can/will have theme/title and a story behind ;)
if you read a bit more on street photography you will see why :) but then again, it's very subjective in the sense that each of the reader will have its own interpretation on the photo that they reading/viewing... some gets what the photographer trying to tell some don't; some see something else which the photographer might not even aware of... to me, that's the beauty of it

Count me in if anyone is organizing a photo shoot.
Scott,
Can't wait to test your Nokton 50mm f1.1.
Do remember to bring it along when we next meet.
Nice. Always wanted to know what Lomo photos would look like, now I know. Lomo very big in Taiwan.
Danny: Nice street lomos u've got there, mind sharing what film did u used?
Nice shots, Scott & Danny. I agree that point-and-shoot is good enough when taking streets shots especially when u shoot it in black & white. It somehow simplifies the whole scene... really nice ...
Sure Danny ;) But i haven't got the Nokton 50mm f1.1 but a very old vintage Canon 50mm F/1.2 LTM instead ;) I like the canon over Nokton mainly because the creamy bokeh and smoother skin (very vintage look) when wide open ;) Will share it when we meet next time ;)
Hi,
Thanks for the feedbacks
My new cam is a leica m6.. :Laughing_on_floor:
These series are shot with different cams, namely nikon fm2, f801 and leica m6 with various lens.
The films are self developed and self scanned on my own flatbed scanner
Leica M9? Sweet!
Hi Scott,

Hi Hobbit,
Nice pics. You're having a good time with the Fuji X100.
You must have been up really early to catch this shot and beat the shopping crowd.
Chris, your take in b&w featuring the old man (roticanai) and old lady (clothes) is, IMO, good.

Well said. It's a matter of choice and priority. Problem is photography is time consuming and family men like Chris may choose to spend more time with the wife and cute little boy instead.
Ballaviator,
Very nice medium format pictures. Well done.
Looks like your camera collection will soon outgrow your watch collection.

Nice work Scott. Some of the pictures have a nice contrasty and grainy look. Did you push process the roll to increase the contrast?
Wow the night shoots are really clear and colors are good.
Seems you use a slow shutter speed?
great photos... you must have a pair of really steady hands

GlySinn, Nice
are you using tilts shift on the last 2nd (the traffic official) photo?
the last one is nice too, love the kid expression laying on her dad's back :)
Hi Scott,
I dont use lightroom 3 for my shots but i use photoshop. Cos i find photoshop more flexible for my requirements and additional plugins to support B&W development. Do let me know if u need me to PM u the steps to create borders in Photoshop yeah
Nice night photography there, Glysinn.
Cheers.
