ok..we all browse through lots of watch-related threads in forums....

so, maybe we should justify the amount of time we spend lurking in these sites and share some nice/interesting/funny ones...

I have quite a few but let me share 2 memorable ones.

http://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/best-gmt-watch-money-between-%242k-%245k-300245-5.html

This is so darn funny.  I found it when i googled `best GMT watches'...the thread starter innocently asked for recommendations for GMT watches due to his travelling....and he mentioned `no Rolex please'..
Somewhere in middle, someone realised he has a Pepsi GMT and asked why is he still looking for one? And then it started to become quite funny (spoilers: robbery, chopped hands, Walmart, Timex, girlfriend......)..you gotta read it yourself.....some of the replies (although sarcastic) were really hilarious!

My second one is found in the famous watchuseek...under the Sinn forum....the Sinn U series ownership experience..

http://forums.watchuseek.com/f24/unofficial-sinn-u-series-ownership-experience-thread-3854-20.html

There is this guy (tim got his boots back) who for several years posted his experience with his Sinn U2.....it became a classic among Sinn lovers or lovers wanna be...Goodness knows how many people emptied their wallets because of his postings...(i was one of them... :Laughing_on_floor:)
Its a long thread but i love it because its not your usual `I love it or Wear in Good health or Looks good on your wrist' kind of testimonies..but it really spoke of his personal experience with his Sinn U2. From how tough it is to the time when it fell down and it was still doing well...
ITs really a wonderful thread to read if you have the time....He even posted his photos ! hahaha!

so do you have any? If possible, specific discussion threads please..not watch blogs or official brand sites..

I dont know why you quoted yourself with no reply. I have deleted the post.

Also we have a section in this forum for "links"

This thread is locked and moved to the proper section.

sorry, must have double posted with `quote'

Original purpose was meant for light-hearted (but useful) discussion on watch ownership experiences through browsing internet forums..i thought that the `Links' are meant for more serious and informative type of links..that is why i posted it under the General Thread...

anyway, no problem for me and thanks for moving it to the rightful place according to the MWF principles...

Agreed. Hope one day my friend post his collection. All special edition, 48 pieces, and a couple of what he calls odds and ends (which includes PAM00072, PAM00001A, PAM0002A, etc... well you get the picture). Sigh!!!!

Yeah, I read it, and has got to marvel at the seemingly lurus bendul OP. :Laughing_on_floor:

By the way, which South-East Asian country that Rolex wearing arm will be chopped off at traffic lights by the monstrous local bandits was he referring to? ???
