Hi Chan,
Great to see your wonderful vintage divers. These watches are practically older than I am. I don't think Seiko is still providing any technical support for these vintage pieces. How do you keep them in such good condition?

Great topic !!! As the Seiko is a prevalent watch, this is a true discussion for the masses !!!

Got the black monster here...getting a bit tired and could use a service (costs about the same to service as to buy a new one!!!)

But here's a couple pics with some straps I made myself...

Cheers
Cory

Hi Danny, I always pay more for a pristine example and wear them with great care. Whenever NOS parts available for sale in foum or bay I will grab it. Other than the cosmetic parts basically seiko movements are built to last ......

Sorting out the watch boxes and decided to take some quick group shoots of the family. Unfortunately a few family members are still in the Philippines and the Land of the Rising Sun getting some repairs done and will not see those leaving soon.

Some of the members will be shipped out to new owners next week. Some are still looking for new owners. Some will remain.

Only one in the group shots was bought more than a year ago. The other 18 watches only joined the family since April this year.  :P

Thank goodness my trigger happy days are slowly coming to an end and I sense my interest in watches is slowly shifting towards a new direction, or perhaps rather I'm finally realizing my true calling.  :Praying:

Meet the family.
Cheers!

Hi Chan,
Really like the 6105s. Seiko made some really cool dive watches back then. Good looking and tough enough for the GIs fighting the Vietnam war.

Hi Coco,
You can show it to us tomorrow but Takashi won't be around. He'll be having a good time in Vietnam.

Definitely a Seiko, but a dive watch? Not so sure ...  ;)

That's true, as even myself doesn't dive to a depth more than 2 meters!  :-[

My bone was with the bezel actually, which is too simplistic and doesn't resemble a normal dive watch at all.

Man,
I took my yellow version for snorkelling and dived to maybe 5m at Redand.
No issues there

Thanks for your input mate.

Care to share the photos of your yellow version? I only knew the blue, black and white versions. (My apology if it's been shown before somewhere).

Ohhh, you mean the yellow hands? I thought you're talking about the dial.  :-[ My bad.

Nice one you have there and it's great to know that there are others who have also got it , but I rarely saw this model being shown around. Any idea as to why?
