Primus,

Some would say you did a BIG mistake hahaha....
But nothing beats a fresh new looking watch after service.

Luckily I am no vintage fan (yet??) and a watch is no good with a faded bezel, defective dial and dead lume..

 :Laughing_on_floor:

Nice watch the Primus!

1st time out for sun bath

Nice catch David

Thanks Leong, my very 1st roc, since everyone said watch lover should have at least one roc in their entire life, so why not  ;D

Yes David, and many Rolex purists have said, if there's only 1 Rolex to keep, it should be the Submariner, not the Sub Date

nice !  you are absolute very right:Cheers:

actually i prefer your model which is very clean and simple ! hardly come by a good condition with price :(

In my case, if there is only one sub to keep, I'll let go of my SD and stick with the more unique milgauss GV :)

Nice watch the Primus!

But you do appreciate aged wine and 18 years old single malt. They nothing but overcooked grain, rotten grape juice and dead yeast soaked in liquid ... ...Aren't they the same?  ;)

Maybe it will come sooner than you think.(vintage watches) :)

Thanks for the kind comment Donald. Can't wait to see what you bring back to your hometown.

As for Vintage Watches, I absolutely understand the passion and dedication in obtaining those pieces. I just think i'm not in the right place and time yet to go down that very very dangerous path. For me, i feel i must hit my modern watches target first (perhaps... the trinity?) and when i've reached the end of the my journey, then i'll go down the dangerous and exciting path of vintage watches. Not for now though... not for now...

(ps: Having said all the above, i just watched a youtube link for Vacheron Constantin advertisement on one of their vintage watch and i just sat there with my mouth open the whole time...absolutely beautiful....must control.....)

Hi David, you've caught the Risti's fever in strap changing for Rollie?  :Laughing_on_floor: :Laughing_on_floor:

By the way, what have you done on the strap lining?

leong, i always change my watch strap from time to time :D

originally the strap lining are in white in color, the GS has painted in blue lining to match the watch face color, while the roc i paint with black on the lining just to make it looks more plain looking by leaving only two white lining near to the watch :D

cant resist la master Loo, the roc watch is just too attractive, sold pam for it ;D

With all the attention on the GSs recently, decided to take this out to see the sun today...

aiya, this is my old JLC Reverso Grande GMT which recently came back from service after 5 yrs ownership. The service took 5 months.. :o but came back looking 100% brand new...

I posted pics of this watch in this thread in early 2012..

Complications include:
8 day power reserve, day/night indicator, big date, GMT time difference, 2nd time zone, 8 day power reserve indicator
Last known RRP at JLC Boutique KL was abt RM 48K...
Production of all 8 day power reserve Reverso's will end this year.
Only Master Control series will continue to have the 8 day power reserve calibres from now..
