I did and still do prefer the blue dial one. It's just that the white one was available. Given the choice, i'd still get the blue. Either way, it is still my grail.

If you find the blue one soon, I'll take this off you.

Enkidu, mind sharing with us how it sounds like? Just want to compare with the Credor that you were eyeing.

Not as melodious as the Credor that I dream of owning. The chimes are rather "electronic" (like Casio keyboard) although they try to imitate the real thing.

Listened to the Citizen, JLC then Credor just to compare. Beautiful and natural sounds from the JLC and Credor, hence the Citizen being relatively electronic as your correctly observed. But we all know which one we want if money is no object, problem is money may not be able to buy you one due to very limited supply. Alas, we can only dream.

Yes, all we mere mortals can do is dream. Even our lives are like dreams....

We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life, is rounded with a sleep.

Cool. Its actually not that hard to find any particular nautilus these days including 5711 blue and 5712. I have had managed to try out almost all the nautilus before i decided which one to buy. But I like white 5711 than blue 5711. Blue nautilus has to be 5712 and 5980 and black one must be 5726. but thats just me.
I am broke but I am happy...

My new purchase of a preowned GMT Master II (Pepsi)! Although this is my first time wearing it i actually purchased this in December 1st 2012, one month with RSC complete overhaul, polish, change tubes, hands, crown, misc springs and a new pepsi bezel (the old one red colour was faded to pink).  Top it off with a fresh two year guarantee card from Rolex

Only problem is changing the date is such a pain

Yes David, and many Rolex purists have said, if there's only 1 Rolex to keep, it should be the Submariner, not the Sub Date
