Terrenceterrence "seriously, i think buying a watch for it's secondhand value is like getting married and thinking about divorce at the back of your mind."

My Getter Dragun sharing his coronet with his buddies.

Got my vintage Datejust on today and noticed my robot's head resembled the coronet too. Jus fooling around in the office.

It is great to have your 'toys' in the office with you. Nice Rolex.

The Hobbit

Those are not toys...those are our objects of inspiration if the bosses ask whats it doing here.
It adds splashes of color to the decor too :)

The Rolex is "colorful" too with its matt blue dial :)

Thanks, if this too big for you, then consider getting the Portuguese 7-days Auto which I recall has a little smaller case diameter (although a little thicker too). Whether your watch gets the endorsement of Dr. Bernard Cheong is not important; it must have your own honest endorsement. I am very satisfied with this watch after a few months of regular wear. It runs within the COSC range, slim, legible and sits nicely on the wrist. The only downside is the absence of the date function which is actually not a big problem for me. I normally wear it when I need to see clients because I personally feel Rolexes may be a little too loud for such purpose.

Of course the final wrist test, how it looks and feel on our own wrists is the ultimate test and decision making to be made on. So many times I liked a watch but it fails the wrist test.

And typically when one starts collecting, others usually say u must start wit a tag or an omega speedy or a Rolex sub ...as these are must haves....in my case they all failed the wrist test... So I started with jaeger :) a very unknown brand back then, discreet and real underdog.

Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.
