gigi,
yep.. it's a thick piece.. 44mm excluding crown.. eemm.. sorry.. buttons. no crown found.

sshark,
yes.. scratches on that particular location... i did some buffing, mild sanding and polishing to minimize the scratches. that's the best i can do, unless i fork out more time to use the power drill to do some serious buff.. which i think i won't. :) i can make do with that tiny scratch.

Invicta Corduba 3965. I do like this watch with its Miyota movement. Got this in HK to fill the B&R itch long time ago.

Nice and good watch. Leather strap has been replaced by the NATO. WR 10ATM with screw down crown. Too bad only the hands are luminous.

IWC is doing well so far and I did not hear  IWC has any financial problem :) Anyway, most of us won't know until they are really in trouble at the last min.

Should not be a problem as the parent has very deep pockets. If got problem, ask the sister to churn out more boutique edition watches.  ;D

Just outta curiosity. How do you guys feel about those fashion brand watches? Like (in this case) Guess, BUM, and whatever else.

Cheers,
Matt

Nothiing wrong with those.
Just not so desireable among WIS and basicallly no resale value.
But if you like the design, go for it.

@ck77: *nod. I just find that it doesn't seem so cool to me, and I assumed WIS wouldn't be too interested in it. Just curious when I saw Hobbit has a Guess watch, hehe. thanks :)

The hour markers are flat on the dial, ok maybe raised a tad.

The lume? Not bad. Here are some photographs, 30 seconds in the sunlight.

Partial darkness.

Total darkness.

Never an issue to me. Just get what I like, be it a fashion brand or not. Looks like must wear my Timex, Swatch and Ice-watch more often.  :)

Why care what people think?
As long as you like it, buy it.
I buy watches to satisfy me and no one else.

All we can "advise" you is maybe how is the built quality, movt etc.

Value? Everyone has different thoughts on it.

 This is very true. But watches for your own satisfaction after you are the one to wear them.
Your ONLY job in this world is to make sure that you are happy

Yeah, I guess. Still, I suspect there's some branding/mind thing involved. I mean, it's not like I'd pay RM10k for a Swatch (or something), but RM10k for a Rolex Sub would be awesome. Maybe movement, build quality etc etc involved. If it's a long topic, I'll start another thread instead. It's actually nice to get the watches that I like, but it seems that the ones I like are extremely expensive, lol, like the IWC Portugese .... That being said, some models on Getat's side is really nice and within budget :D

Swatch that cost about USD 8,000.
