on a new rollie explorer, always loved the simple vintage design.

this one has the chapter ring n double lock, but this bracelet is nothing compared to the new rolex sport models.

Finally another member with it. I have an older version without the chapter ring.

Hi Peter,
I believe that if you really ask around you'll find that there are more members with the venerable Explorer 1 in their collection. So don't worry, you're in good company.
Here's mine, so add me to your list (if you're counting):

Stunning Milgauss GV. Definitely a keeper. However if in the unlikely event that you decide not to keep this timepiece please post it up in the Classifieds here and let us have the "right of first refusal".  ;D

Alvin,
If you attend the next GTG I'll definitely bring this piece along.

Dsiewmy,
You're wise in choosing not to pay a premium for this piece. I would not have bought it above list price either.

What is green cross?
Green Cross International is an environmental organisation founded by former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev in 1993, building upon the work started by the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.[1] Green Cross International's mission is "to help ensure a just, sustainable and secure future for all by fostering a value shift and cultivating a new sense of global interdependence and shared responsibility in humanity's relationship with nature."[2] This organisation publishes a newsletter and also came out with a publication entitled "Antarctica: the Global Warning."[3]. Thirty-one countries have established Green Cross National organisations which are part of Green Cross International.

If it is green, y the watch is blue?
most of all for its electric blue dial with crisscross lines representing the earth’s meridians.
Carrying both elements of sea and sky within its majestic  blue countenance, a vivid reminder of the awesome beauty of our planet, and the courage and foresight of those fighting to save it.
