I do not think our ministers come from rich families with the financial strength of YTL, Genting, Ananda Krishnan etc.

Interesting to note that most of them wear very expensive watches

I was very honest when I made a comment that one minister looked stupid. I was only being honest and wrote what I thought. I guess my view was influenced by the fact that he had actually made some extremely stupid comment. My post was removed for some reason I could not comprehend.

I am no politician and I am just an ordinary Joe on the street who expresses his true feeling. I really think a minister should prove his capability on his own and should not be shielded by moderator of any forum :mooning:

Being a watch forum, we should not whack anyone to justify how they acquire their timepieces. Why do you choose to make comments on any political figures who wear (presumably authentic) expensive timepieces? I have seen replica Panerai, Rolex and RM that look almost real in the flesh while browsing in Sungei Wang Plaza that are selling in the RM2,xxx region. The small fuzzy pictures we see can hardly be considered as authentication that those on their wrist are the real goods.

I think we should stop all the minister bashing and just continue the spirit of watch spotting without the questions of how they acquired them, if they are at all authentic in the first place.

Don't worry, still have to wait for a long time for them to shut down this forum. Because out there still have tonnes of website or forum waiting for them to shut down. MWF is not on the top of the list.....so just sit behind and relax....

Woah! That's rolling with the big boys. I see he's wading deep now, from Pams to PP. how much is the retail for that? RM 180-200k? I am sure it's still chump change since he came from a rich lineage of political power and wealth as some one here pointed out.

One thing I do realize is at our dear leader; the supreme leader of the beloved royal democratic nation of Malaysia, have quite a penchant for Hublots.

It'll be great if we could compile all the different models and editions that he has.

180k-200k is is some loose change in the pocket to the "privileged" few who can make big bucks in thunder lightning speed without lifting a finger.

i know a sales person in one of the gallery at Starhill (hint, starts with 'R' and end with 'E' two words). Watches there starts at RM 100k I suppose, never bothered cause too expensive  :D. So I asked her, who normally buy these. The answer was businessman.

I was puzzled  ???, how does she know it ??? Cause the people working in the certain sector (you know who) will come and pick earlier, and the businessman will come after they left asking her which one they pick and buy it and give it to them as a gift :)

I believe this is one of the way how they can afford these watches

That's a PP Nautilus Chrono + a Cartier Love Wedding band on Hublottidin Hermes , the current "defensive" minister whose perception of reality is Rosy.

Heck my perception of reality would be Brand Spanking Beautiful if I had that on my wrist too  8)

One thing is clear, politics is BIG BUSINESS in ASIA.
