The new 226570...They selit a crown between “Swiss” and “Made” ma...big difference ....lol

On a serious note...Not confirmed, but seems the lugs are slimmer too...

New movement 3285 like the new gmt master 2

But the new half gold explorer 1...just doesn’t sing to me.

yeah, size wise it is still 42 but the lugs seems slimmer now
so much speculation on the ceramic bezel bla bla bla, but at the end..........

Yea...ceramic bezel I think while many were excited for it, deep down inside many still prefer the stainless steel one...so probably smarter choice I guess...

But on the other brands, I can only ogle at the Jaeger Reverso...that movement and case is amazing...

Mont Blanc has that “peek a boo” feature...

IWC decides to shrink the Big Pilot to Medium Pilot...

And that Nomos is quite handsome looking too...

I have to say for me personally, its the other brands that r working wonders. Tudor alone already quite interesting, with the see thru case back making a first appearance.

Really tho, that JLC Reverso Hybris Mechanica is just wow...They actually squeezed in the moonphase movements into the caseback, of all things. 15mm form thickness n the cram in every damned thing but the kitchen sink. Calendar, moonphase, minute repeater, tourbillion...amazing la

I would agree with this assessment....it somehow takes away from the watch as an adventure/outdoor piece, turning it into one of those Datejusts we see languishing in the Rolex ADs windows (which says a lot).

The king from Watches & Wonders 2021 and hottest watch on the planet has got to be the green Patek 5711/1A-014. Then again, same story. It would be unobtainable. Next best thing for me is the Tudor Black Bay Chrono Panda.

there are plenty of choices at 36mm for two tone... but sure enough someone will find a reason to start the rush.

to be honest, it's not too surprising after they did it to the Sea Dweller..

Ya la kan...I was actually quite enthused by the Moser Mega Cool though - the teal fumé dial and nearly invisible name writnin lacquer is quite fetching.

Is it just me or is this the year of green?

Before 7th April; the rumours were:

1) Pepsi discontinued
2) Batgirl discontinued
3) GMT discontinued (!!!!)
4) Daytona discontinued
5) Explorer 2 discontinued and/or replacement model

Prices shot up. And finally, what was the result?

1) GMT available in both jubilee and oyster bracelet options
2) Daytona has new meteorite dial option
3) Explorer 2 updated with new movement, slimmer lugs, new clasp
4) Explorer 1 went down to 36mm, now also available in two-tone
5) Datejust gets several new textured dials

What hasn't changed? Your chance of getting one.

Btw I just noticed another change to the Explorer II...the "Floating Hands" on the black dial version is now fully chromed, no longer with the black painted portion towards the middle of the dial - same applies to the orange GMT hand which is now fully orange in the newest form.

New 226570

vs

Previous 216570

possibly another hype for the discontinued version? Is it me, or are Rolex collectors becoming like Paneristi's a couple of years ago...where there was a craze for just simple visual differences, and people pay thousands extra just to see the "PIG" logo or engraving...that led to Panerai creating more remake of older models, different aesthetics, and value drop...

anyway, we can only hope for Rolex to become more accessible...

I wonder if there's a video explaining how this thing works, how do they get the mechanical parts on the cradle to run? Power la this thing, apparently it even comes with a correction box that allows us to update the watch straight to the present day if it has been left to run out of power. Neatly settles the problem tediously setting up a perpetual calendar every time.

There's a whole bunch of noteworthy watches beyond that crown brand that came out this time round. Enough that I think its possible to take a serious break from them. Like this Moser Mega Cool (what a rubbish name for such a nice work of art haha).

Along the lines of relative affordability and serious badassery there's the new Oris AquisPro running that monster cal.400 with 10 days power reserve n 10 years service interval

Wah that Oris is nice...looks like emperor tuna wei...

And Oris also came out with a rainbow bronze range...

the Marble Moon piece from Arnold & Son is also quite captivating...

Heard many bought pepsi jubilee due to rumours of stop production. Expected to have price drop due to Pepsi Oyster is far more sport looking as many like it
