Graham Chronofighter 1695
« on: March 24, 2021, 08:11:41 PM »

This Graham Chronofighter is suitable for black tie or short sleeves, and the style never tries too hard to to win admiration. Even Graham's signature "quick lever" chronograph actuator is pared down for this, the "gentleman's special" of the Graham watch collection.

The domed sapphire crystal with has anti-reflective coating on both the inside and the outside of the crystal. Adding up it gives superb visibility and no glare

Like all Graham Chronofigher models, the Chronofighter 1695 features a prominent chronograph start/stop lever. Absent the overboard showmanship of the larger Chronofighters, the lever's fundamental logic and ergonomic qualities take center stage on this watch. It's easier to start, stop, and grip securely when using the chronograph, and the ability to actuate the lever with a right-hand thumb makes the Graham system feel like a truly meaningful upgrade to the traditional mechanical chronograph interface.

A wristwatch of course, but resplendent in the DNA of its forefather the pocket watch. And just wait till you see the case back!

On its case back, Graham treats the owner of this Chronofighter 1695 to an engraved image of the legendary Greenwich Observatory. Chartered in 1675 and home to the Prime Meridian since 1884 (GMT, naturally), the Observatory has played a central role in world horology since its inception.

At 42mm it wears beautifully on my 6.15" wrist. Looks equally great on an 8" wrist too thanks to the beautifully contoured lugs.

Need to make room for a new watch so price reduced for a quick sale.

My loss your gain.

Seen it cheaper elsewhere? Extremely unlikely but let me know. Let's discuss.
