Anyone here own the latest Rolex Air King? Worth it? I am thinking to get it for everyday use, work or casual.

Tbf, was never a fan of the air king but after wearing my cousins watch for some time, i realised that i started liking it

Same here.. see in photos like ugly.. saw in AD immediately fell for it.. went back considered whether to buy or not to buy.. went back to AD both units sold

Rolex Air King is really one of a kind, you'll hardly find a Rolex with Yellow Rolex Coronet/Crown Logo, Green (Rolex Corporate Colour) "ROLEX" wording and a very distinctive Green Seconds Hand.

Not now but this piece will get much love or attention it deserved when Rolex decided to discontinue or change the overall design (back to the old air king), perhaps.

Go for it, it's a nice constructed piece with it's simple design with all it's heritage in Rolex's professional range.

Agreed. The Air-King is starting to grow on me as well especially when paired with a rubber b strap.

I saw this watch at a grey dealer yesterday. In pictures it looks ungainly with no elegance. In person, it's completely different. You think, "Wow, everything works together so well." Sometimes I think these youtube reviewers have not had an opportunity to really see the watch in real life. Granted, it may not be for everyone. But it's definitely not the design disaster it's made out to be.

I've got a feeling people are getting these watches at discount and keeping it mint/sealed to hope for a sudden popularity boost. No doubt it's a really colorful ROLEX.

Discount probably 2 years back i guess.. now you need a buying profile even for air king / milgauss

I think it's a watch that will grow on you over time. Initially won't wow you but eventually it's appeal will start to win you over.

I had a hard time to decide between Air King and GS initially.. Rolex always has this appealing factor and has been a "The Brand" since i know watches.

Anyway i ended up with GS eventually because i want something different and niche...

The current Air-King is quite similiar to the Explorer 1. I did not like it much back then and still dont like it today, more so with the current high prices.

Nobody seems bothered by the imbalance caused by the 55 and 5 on the dial?

Wouldn't it be more balanced if it was 55 and 05 ?

After liking it for a while, i remembered why i didnt pull the trigger back then and have gone on the fence again. the imbalance on the dial is one of the factors why i didnt like it enough.

Isn't it? I've seen it in passing a few times but never could pinpoint what felt wrong with it. Then a good look revealed my OCD with balance and symmetry..

Actually prefer the older airking but bit smaller vs 40mm now. But the new design looks like a speedometer to me which I dont like but to each its own

As long you like it, definitely worth it. In term of value, this sport model also keep increasing. So you can earn for wrist time and no loss even resell to grey market.
