Not really dirty, but aged a bit.
Good choice for a Rolex mechanical hand wound watch.

Are there any ways to get the original strap for this model? Went to the SC last year but they said in order to change the strap I need to overhaul bla bla bla and the quotation was more than 10k + the strap :shocked1:

I have seen your rolex 6694 watch which seems too old but it is looking very nice. Presented in the early ’60s, this guide twisting watch is the perfect basic Rolex timepiece. It features a set cyclops amplified date window on polymer amazingly, a finalized attach down top and a traditional silver switch.

Maybe you could try Watchlim from JB. He has a huge stock of 6694 and some comes with original bracelet

Just got bitten by this blue face 6694

Today sending my 6694 for thorough checking.
Before service:
1. Slower by 30second per day
2. Wrong size gasket used
3. A small part loosen
After service:
1. Accuracy improved to +1second per day
2. Use correct gasket
3. Part tighten up

My 6694 need 36 turns on crown to have the full wind. Power reserve is 49 hours.

Good / average condition 6694 price shoot up a lot. Saw some pieces selling at Wxxx Wah website are at 5digits RM now.

I should start selling the piece I have..hehe..
I guess it is a good starter piece and similar to the Hilux for Toyota. A great daily beater and reliable.
I have come to like the look more over time as I am a DJ lover. The 6694 series is in my mind a baby DJ.

Wow it seems like if you have a 6694, hold on to it! Prices are going up especially for the blue dials or the black with gold markers! :o

Although preown watch shop 6694 selling price can be as high as RM 10k, when I approached one of the watch shop and asked how much they willing to buy from me-only RM 5k.
So for me to determine the watch market price, I will take the average of watch shop selling and buying price.

I tak sampai hati to wear it, cos I tend to scratch watch glass alot, and this piece is acrylics. When I bought mine, it has 2 minor scratches , so I buy polywatch to polish the acrylics. Now scratch free :D .
Wait till i get a sapphire glass rolex then will wear it.

You'll never lose money on Rolex unless you over-paid .... best to do some research on fair or average market prices first.
My first Rolex was a used 6694 about 20 years ago, at that time it was already a 20 year old vintage and I paid RM700 for it. If not mistaken, I sold it 3 years later for RM1500.

6694 with cert is hard to come by. Even harder to get full set. If can find one, will be great to keep.

it's been suggested by many that chrono24 prices are generally 15-25% higher than real market prices. It's fun to browse but I don't think anyone really buys at those prices. Would be really sad if they did.

I just saw 2 different post in the fb group for 6694 with the price around rm6k+. Quit good too. Dunno the details..interested but budget burst already for this year. Haha.

The price for 6694 has risen steadily now. Looks like this starter for Rolex with will cost even more as the latest rolex cost a bomb with all the grey retailer marking exorbitant price on top of it.

Rolex 6694 has an interesting usage history.
If you pay attention enough, you would find many countries airfighter pilot in 60's or 70's wearing Rolex 6694 as their pilot watches.
It's manual wind with 50hours power reserve and plexiglass crystal made it a perfect choice for airfighter pilot. :thumbsup:
