Title: Macro Photograph.... See small things Big!
Post by: tcboy on July 07, 2011, 09:24:55 PM: i noticed there are a few of you who posted their macro works here. And I cannot resist to show some of my recent macro photography.
I like taking insects and small animals as they are challenging to shot, random and never know what they'll do next. ;D

Thanks Jacky. Not difficult. Just need practice..... and a good macro lens, patience and insect repellent! hahaha....

Ya.. sometimes can be quite scary especially when taking a bee or komodo lizard. But the reward is when you look at the pictures and look at them in a different angle that a naked eye cannot see.... ;)

No need to go so far ler.... most of it can be found in Malaysia forest reserve or at my own backyard... hahaha.

yes, with flash is a must for macro photography as the light needs to compensate for the large F number and stability w/o tripod. Usually with macro photography, you would lose a lot of light in the shot, so you will need to use the flash in order to keep the ISO lower.

Nice one. If I may comment, you can crop the image tighter so you can see the ant in more details. You shot in jpeg or raw? Post more pics!
