Title: Macro Photograph.... See small things Big!
Post by: tcboy on July 07, 2011, 09:24:55 PM
i noticed there are a few of you who posted their macro works here. And I cannot resist to show some of my recent macro photography.
I like taking insects and small animals as they are challenging to shot, random and never know what they'll do next.  ;D

If you are into insects photography, visit Taiwan in summer, lots of insects.

Ya.. sometimes can be quite scary especially when taking a bee or komodo lizard. But the reward is when you look at the pictures and look at them in a different angle that a naked eye cannot see.... ;)

yes, with flash is a must for macro photography as the light needs to compensate for the large F number and stability w/o tripod. Usually with macro photography, you would lose a lot of light in the shot, so you will need to use the flash in order to keep the ISO lower.

Nice one. If I may comment, you can crop the image tighter so you can see the ant in more details. You shot in jpeg or raw? Post more pics!

what's the best price macro lens for a Nikon D7000 ?? what kind of flash to pair with it or will the built-in one be sufficient?

thanks all!
