My Citizen Horological Journey Will End Very Soon
« on: May 30, 2020, 09:58:17 AM »
I keeps buying Japan watches for many years.

I stopped collecting Seiko watch after buying the Alpinist and MM300.

Now it's time for my Citizen w0atch journey.

These are my current citizen collection. The last piece is on its way.

I will receive it in a week time.

I thought I have lost the chance to get this forever as it was discontinued. I discussed a MWF shifu here before. The quality is top notch. The shared photos are so mesmerizing.

Alright enough, I'll write about it more when unboxing it.

Citizen was one of the brands I started out with about 30 years ago. However, none of them lasted till today.

If you're talking about eco-drive, then yes, their capacitor that stores the electricity converted from solar panel , its lifespan would normally last about 10yrs. The capacitor needs to be replaced.

Not the eco drive... back in those days it was just your regular quartz. They had nice designs back then

I didn't buy any citizen quartz watch before. I have no clues on their quartz movement lifespan but I remember their quartz movement uses a lot of plastic housing.

My citizen watches here only the minutes repeater is eco-drive, the rest are all automatic.

The incoming one from Japan now is also automatic.

Cocas, waiting for your review as I am curious to see which is this Citizen to end all Citizens...

I have an NY0040 that has been receiving plenty of interest and wondering if I should sell it

I have several Citizens, including the three on the left of your photo. I sold them all, the last one being the Autozilla 1000M Ti. Too many watches idling in the drawer.  ;D

I have an affinity for Citizen watches because it is the very first watch I bought when I started working. My friends bought Seiko5.  :D

NY0040 has a glorious history. Italy  Marina Militare once used this NY0040 by enhancing its water resistance to 500meter.

Wow.. that's very quick delivery service.  What other brands does this seller deal in?

No ideas too. I normally look for watches I wanted, then only look at the seller trustworthy. That's why I am not used to finding what seller has.

So here the screenshots, self explanatory.
