AP Diver
« on: November 04, 2011, 08:07:13 PM »
AP ROO Diver..

First impression, I love it. The watch is big enough for my wrist. With the big watch trend, those with big wrists like mine can enjoy watches too as compared to 15 years back where even the 40mm sub was deemed too big. Size comparison with my PAM0090 below

On paper the AP is smaller (42mm) than the PAM(44mm) but from the pictures, they look exactly the same. In terms of weight, the PAM is heavier.
Has signed crown and buckle with the letters AP. I do not know whether it is because of the rubber on the crown but i feel the winding of the watch to be a little bit grainy. For me so far, Rolex still has the best winding feel out of all my watches.

Even though the buckle looks very angular, the edges are not sharp so have to give AP a  for their fine worksmanship.

Picture of the overall watch.

and overall thickness of the watch and inner bezel crown. Because of the curved lugs, the watch wears very comfortably. Also the brushed finish on the case minimises smudges and hairline scratches which is really great thinking by AP as this is a sports watch.

Last but not least, the customary wrist shot to show size and wearability. As you can see eventhough case diameter is 42mm and overall case size is 46mm, the watch is not as big as initially thought.

Very recommended for those considering to purchase one.
Thank you for viewing.

Another reason why i chose this model over others, the lume..most AP do not have luminous material on the dial

Cantik  Surprisingly it is lighter than PAM, I thought with that thickness, it should have been more heavier, Solid build..Nice. How is the accuracy of time?

Drooling with pleasure on the AP.
I must say that this piece is very nice. And lighter than the PAM (which is no surprise to me).
Thanks for sharing, G.MAc.

Staunching watch. I tried it couple of weeks ago. But now that they are launching new diver this year. Well, some people say the new diver looks like copycat as it looks iwc aquatimer. So, am still wondering if this model is a better piece or the 2012 edition.

Anyway, do you mind to message me your damage. Thank you very much.

Whoa really Keng!!! Huge watch, recognizable and visible from super far away by anyone who knows at least a bit about watches! The normal Royal Oak Chrono is my grail lar, but this one looks fantastic too!

AP poison is spreading... Im viewing this for second time.

By the way, i noticed that Gmac has used the "National Land Code"  for the photography.
I supposed Gmac is a fellow lawyer as well?

Also mind letting us know the scratch resistance of this beatiful AP Diver? As i read  from other forum that the AP bezel is proned to scratches due to its design. What ur view and experience? Thanks.
