a pleasant suprise
« on: January 09, 2011, 07:14:04 AM »
Yesterday (January 8th) was my birthday for the xxth time.... :) Coming to the age like this, i don't expect any present to arrive....however on the eve of the day, i was presented with a dream birthday gift from my beautiful wife....

If you have been following my blog, you would notice on how much I wanted this watch....I have put up review on it and have even include it at #30 of my top desire (so no need for technical review here).....Hence wifey make a very brilliant decision to get the G-Shock G1200 for my birthday....Thank you luv....u know me well...also in addition, which is the best part, of all the color/model option available for this G1200, she choose the right one...the blue marker...the one i been dreading for long....

So seriously what with the obsession ??? This is a watch that many watch collector would not have the desire to own...For once, it is a quartz movement and does not come cheap either....But i am this kind of collector who has interest on all type of watches. I am not a purist who pursue only mechanical movement of certain brand. Be it a china made movement, i dont have any problem liking it.If  i like it, then i want it.....Seriously

I think the main attraction must come from the design. Yes this one stated as aviation series and to commemorate G-Shock association with the air racing series (a race between airplane in quest for air daredevil) but design wise it has also DNA from other thing

In certain angle, i couldn't help to notice that, like the GA-100 ( in which dub as Bumble Bee of Transformer) this one feel like Megatron...The coolest villain ever....compare the following picture...Oh yes that also tell I am a techy kind of person...I love gadget, i love technology and i love the robotic feel

Megatron Above - and it transformation into a G-Shock below

The whole design also has a very robotic feel , with a dash of stealth military mode

Nice catch bro. Noticed that it is one of your grail watches also. So congrats on your catch and happy belated birthday. Just want to know, is there any LED backlight or the only light is the lumed hands?
Your ONLY job in this world is to make sure that you are happy

Nazri,

Sorry i am VERY VERY to wish you bday. Hope you enjoy your watch man..  :mooning:

I actually considered this watch but give it a pass as it does not have much function.
