I heard that at Pavi, they gave out only 200+ numbered tickets this morning to those who lined up outside the mall's main entrance - only 1 watch per person limit. Those who were already lining up outside the Swatch shop before the mall's opening time didn't get squat.  :o :P

Singapore Marina Bay Sand outlet also got a long q...

queueing up for so many hours is definitely going to take a toll on Uranus.

So ya'all, which is your favourite one? Mine is the mission to Mercury.

I'll settle for the Saturn - that 6 o'clock subdial is a nice change from the usual

heard in HK 1 of the boutiques had to call off opening altogether because too many crowded that area breaching their SOP....so police ordered to close. All who lined up from the day before  :HammerHead:

and yes, Saturn is nice with the unique planet visible!

 :o @ the queue overnight.

Crazy how hype drives logic out of the window.

Good thing about this is, in SG, Carousell is actively removing scalpers' posts. A search on moonswatch will only yield few results, and those posts are from good Samaritans asking everyone to calm down, don't FOMO, restocking soon.

BTW, sharing real life pics of this, found on FB (not mine)

"Plastic" definitely looks good though :P , not sure if its easily scratched, definitely a good entry level piece.

the videos worldwide and the crowds at pavilion today was insane. i get the hype and everything but honest people going nuts for something that will be restocked and not limited and/or numbered is plainly stupid

Matter of time only, hit enough of that merlot and seaswatch will appear  ;D

Its really ridiculous the way things r going, worldwide fomo overload. About the only thing good about this is that some other brand is getting all the hype and attention instead of...well...THAT brand

Hear hear

Problem with the R brand is. The supply is EVERYWHERE aka everyone has one aka not even rare. But the AD and grey game is on point until everyone can’t get. Ridiculous.

“seaSwatch”  :Laughing_on_floor: that’s a good one

Yea this fomo deal is making me sick. I saw a vid on instagram this morning prolly somewhere in China, the rush for it was like a zombie apocalypse scene wei…

I was just at swatch 1u this morning to change a battery (FOC) , and the guy just casually said, more will come next week but only at Pavi…can buy online also… WHAT’S THE BIG RUSH?????

Sheesh.

Oh yea, the R Brand game is strong. Most swiss watch sold and distributed, yet still commanding ridiculous prices. I mean, I havent really seen any coloured OP’s in the wild! Most of it probably exchanging between dealers.  :HammerHead:

Priced to make anyone feel a pain in Uranus.

Looks like R brand has a worthy competitor

This has been an absolute win for both brands in terms of hype and branding perspective.

Swatch is the only watch brand in the ranking, which is generally dominated by clothing as expected.

Now there will be another bump when the "next batch" is released and everyone go crazy trying to buy it online again.

Saw it in the Me…i mean Plastic. IMHO (personal preference, no hate) - only the Mars version looks decent. The rest. Swatch-y. Not for me.

Not even the Mission to the Moon one? But true also la, very Swatchy and plasticky. Man, to think ppl spend all that time, queue over night, risky covid n fist fights for this.

Not even that bro. The grey bio-ceramic case looks more plastic than actual plastic...if there is such a thing - but you may get what I mean. Lego looks better imo  ;D.

@dpkong - definitely a lose this time for them.

Perfect strategy. Getting the brand on the wrist of the wider (mass) market.

When people start thinking about transitioning into a more premium brand, omega will always be part of the consideration then.

Inception... :Laughing_on_floor: But it is a workable strategy - and a risk too. High risk, high return.
