Hi all
been a while since I posted anything here.
So recently my beloved 114270 stopped working and I intend on getting it for repair. Any recommendation reputable shop or should I go RSC. I prefer not to wait though. Rough cost estimation would be appreciated too.
Many thanks in advance.

In cases like these, it’s best to send back to RSC. You might be looking at an estimated bill of around RM$3K. It’s just a conservative figure. What you get is peace of mind and an additional 2 years warranty from Rolex after your watch has been repaired.

unless there is catastrophic failure, it should not be more than RM2500 I suspect.. as the movement is no date. not working is worrisome though but could be just something simple.
have an Air King in for service and with a new rotor, quote was still below 2500

I honestly thinks its nothing major as the watch just not working after winding. Everything else the crown, the winding part are just about the same. It seems to me RSC is the better bet. I called them and told the watch would be back in 3 months. Price wise is about 2500 ballpark.
Just curious Outside watchmakers not recommended? Are they not reputable / cheaper?

RSC would always be the recommended service centre especially for the care of a Rolex. As for outside watchmakers, it is all about trust. If you are comfortable with them, then go ahead by all means. Some prefer to have peace of mind with the service from RSC.
