Title: 116234 second hand stops intermediately.

Hi need advice on few months old Datejust 116234. was working well.. until didn't use it for 2 weeks.

After winding even 40 rounds. The second hand on wrist sometimes stops. Really stops randomly until i shake wave my hand again then it runs again. Tried another 20-30 turns. Same thing happen after 10 mins.  Anyone can tell me what really happen b4 i go service center. (still under warranty butthis is ROLEX  :o !!!)

ps ... never knocked nor drop.

Whatever answers you think you'll find here, will be at best, assumptions. Not even a watchmaker can accurately tell you the exact cause without taking a peek inside.

Best to just send it in for a warranty repair.

Having said this, here's my assumption  ;D. 

A friend of mine had the same thing happen to his Explorer II and after opening it up, the repairman said something came loose. He fixed it back in 2 mins & everything was fine again. Apparently my friend may have bumped his watch at a certain point to cause that.

Thanks for your advice and yes i will definitely go for claim in few days time.. just sharing of info here about Rolex. Never have this problem with other swiss brand. At least i knew now that best case it's a 2 minutes job.  ;D
