Been with many watches since years back.. mainly swiss made. but maybe throughout the years, see through quite a lot of things in life... taste changed, thinking changed. so, i plugged my trigger and acquired this roughly about 2 months ago, before i got to know the existence of this forum. :)
introducing seiko svcs013 (spirit, aka blue spark in western area), design is very simple but elegant. very nice finishing, and using cal. 6R15(B).. 23Jewels, mechanicals ofcox.. and hack n manual wind as well, 50hr power reserved (if im not mistaken..) 37mm width, blue hands.. visible only under bright lighting (this is the best part of it)
since this is japanese domestic model, it is not sold in Malaysia. the original black leather strap look darn simple, so i changed it to a dark brown morellato leather strap... it looks more 'expensive' overall now. hehe...

Great watch with a great movement. Congratulations.
The Seiko 6R15 is very much underrated at the moment. The Japanese really need some good PR folks to fix their image.

Yes, This model is not make available outside Japan..you getting this from Japan or local AD?

to be frank, the power reserved is better than my oris.
The 6R15 movements have power reserve of 50 hours thanks to Seiko's manufacture main spring made of Spron 510 alloy. Great stuff.

u can try seiya or chinowatch. overall, the built quality is very very good(better than some well known swiss made.. sorry if this statement find offensive). the only thing missing is the "GS" on the dial seiko forgot to put in. hehe... :Dancing_banana:

thickness comparison, this seiko has very nice thickness as well. see the big S on the crown? the crown is very comfortable to twist...

First of all welcome to MWF.
I would like to say that you have good taste in watches. This Seiko will make a wonderful gift for your husband. It's a JDM or Japan Domestic Model, so not readily available outside of Japan.
I would suggest that you try ordering from one of the online retailers based in Japan.

Thank you for welcoming me here. Guess I am the only ladies among you guys :D. I am here to learn about watches. Develop this passion just over a year ago. So, I won't say I know much about watches.
When I look at a watch.. I think of the maker. A good watch says so much of the maker.....the MOVEMENT he so painfully create. Its takes patience and love.
Craftmanship is another point I look into. It tells the history behind making a successful watch. Different craftman has different style. A valuable watch must has its own movements not borrowed as in the case of Rolex.
Exp : JLC has its own movement, so is Vercheron Constantine. But they are too costly to own... :Blue:
