Wonder if the crown on the original diver has similar mesh-like pattern?

Yes indeed they do...

Photos taken from the internet without shame... lol

Check out the thickness of the plexiglass on the vintage model.
But all in all, the LLD is one the of best value reissue.

It is good to know that I am not alone in fandom of the Longines Legend Diver. A classic compressor style diving watch. Mine is not the LLD no-date, rather I need the date complication in the office.

It seems that one of the first things most WIS do is to get rid of the original Longines rubbery/nylon strap with a third party strap. In this case, a Hirsch nature line leather strap (yes, leather strap on a diver - blasphemy!).

Obligatory spear chucking diver shot.

The LLD looks larger on the wrist due because it does not have an external bezel. It basically has an "all-dial" look.
A comparison between the 42mm case size LLD with the 47mm case size Breitling Chronomat GMT. Note, that the dial is basically the same size despite the disparity in case size.

Need to have more pics of the LLD here.

Nice one STT1987

One way to utilise the internal bezel, use it as 'pointer date'  ;D

In this case, 7th of the month  :Laughing_on_floor:

Mine is on Hirsch as well,

Hmmm.... STT and CK,

Both of u seems to have the leather strap with the stitching near the lugs going outwards.
It looks like it's rubbing against the lugs.
Does it hold? Or does the thread starts thinning?

Mine is okay so far, but yes - the wraparound stitching style rubs against the lugs and after heavy wearing, will fray. It hasn't happened (yet) to the LLD pictured here but it has happened to another similar styled Hirshch strap on a different watch (a Fortis). When this happens, I will probably do my own home style repair job and restitch the strap myself. Looks simple (so says the neophyte beginner), as the stitching is very large....

So the answer to your question is yes, it will fray sooner or later as it rubs against the lugs.
The price for looking nice I guess.

Cool....

Mine has the reference L3.674.4.56.0 and I know that CK and Pexus LLD has the reference L3.674.4.56.3. Looks like a LLD GTG would be a good idea to place the 3 references side by side and see if we can spot the difference....

Not many in total.
Rumours are ~1,800 pieces been produced, no date version that's it.

With only 1800 units worldwide and there are at least five in this forum, that's not bad at all.

The matter of fact is, before this thread, I never really knew the Legend Diver at all. That show how knobby I am.  :-[

a low profile re-issue.  I first gotta know this watch when ck77 was hunting high and low for one.  Then the poisoning began...

Just handled the LLD at the AD. It really is a great looking watch! Price seems pretty reasonable too! Question is...do I need another watch? Hmmm.

So funny that you all love the rarer no-date version whereas I avoided it, and bought the date version instead!
 :Laughing_on_floor:
Ah well, no regrets. I prefer a date complication on my watches. What's important that we all love what we wear.

I know the no-date version is no longer in production, but does anyone know which dealer in Malaysia has it? (preferably in Klang valley region) Been searching high and low all over shopping malls and ADs in subang but no luck :(
