Horse continue to run - ???
Dance continue to jump - ???

Is a promise to Hong Kong originated from the China's Communist Party that, after the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong from the United Kingdom to China, Hong Kong's social practice, economy structure, life style shall remain the same without interuption from the mainland.

Like what Takashi has mentioned, life goes on as usual.

Now I get it.....I thought Chris was preparing for his examination in the old Chinese imperial palace hoping to become a zhuang yuan (??) with the opportunity to marry the emperor's daughter, reciting poetry swinging his head then got sucked into a time warp machine and transported to present day Malaysia.....

Dear sifus,

i've always been a lazy guy hence i only stick to the original strap that comes with the watch i bought and replaced them with OEM ones when they're tired.

i'm thinking of investing in an OEM JV Gold nubuck strap...just a few questions that i need some help with:

JV Nubuck vs Assolutamente - it seems like JV is the most expensive leather strap that Pam sells, is that correct? why is the former more expensive? softer or it's the kind of "special treatment" done to it?

does OEM JV/assolutamente comes in shorter length than other the standard 75/115 please? i've a girly wrist lah...

thanks

cheers

james

Hi James,
The JV Nubuck is an alligator strap and the assolutamente is a calf leather, hence JV is more pricey.
Both straps will turn patina as they aged.
As for shorter strap you might need to custome order with the boutique.
Hope this will help.

cheers,
ck

Hi James,

ckng515 is correct. The JV strap is nubuck alligator strap. The interesting thing is nubuck is normally associated to calf or cowhide. Nubuck is the process where the hide is buffed on the outside or top grain. The end result is similar to suede, a fine soft velvety finish. It is important to note that in suede, the hide is buffed on the inside or the flesh side.

With regards to the assolutamente, the hide is calf but it is untreated (or minimal treatment) and retains the natural finish.

Hope that helps.

Hi

Anyone here has a reasonable worn but use able 26/26mm strap with buckle, to give up for 'adoption'. Or maybe giving away for a song and over a cup of 'white coffee'.... :Praying: :Praying:

Its for a Pam Homage.. :)

Please PM. Tq in advance.

I'm surprised that the Boutique sold OEM straps just like that. Did you have to order in advance?

Called the service centre first and was told to call the boutique because service centre no longer sells straps. Called the boutique, they said they've a piece in the warehouse but would take 2-3 days to for it to be delivered.

The boutique normally have stock of a couple of the more popular straps and also the longer or shorter version of the straps that comes standard with the watches in case you have larger or smaller wrist, but not all.

Thanks to members who responded to my SOS for straps to my homage.

I have received a very nice (brand new) 26/26 & 26/24mm respectively.

Two white coffee on me, the next time we meet.

Cheerio

Where can I get this strap?
