Long time ago at "Journey through time" in Starhill.
Mr Thomas Prescher was giving a talk.
Gold case this, precious metal that, bla bla bla research time.
end of his talk was QnA.
(you just know someone will ask THAT question)

"How much does your watch cost?" pipped on young lady.
Mr.Prescher : 200000 euro. any more questions?

Crowd kept silent and everyone walk out. wahlan eh.
Independent means not cheap la. All those rich uncles wearing expensive watches also dunno what to ask. just buy for brand on their wrist.

Btw, Mr Prescher didn't wear a watch. His reason was because he was hairy, his wrist hair kept getting stuck in the lugs, so he uses his handphone for time.lol
Each handmade watch is sold with part of the watchmakers soul. The effort to make the watch perfectly flawless like a gem, takes a lot of the watchmakers concentration. You pay for the "Loving attention" they give to each movement and watch.

I am looking around in AD for Sinn watches, then i came across a particular shop in The Garden

Asking can for the sales lady did they have Sinn U1 fully tegimented. Since it's comes with 2 choices that you can purchased online: partially or fully tegimented.  Seems like she doesn't know anything about that, then from the display, I saw a Sinn U1 with bracelet and i have no idea, is it partially Tegimented or fully Tegimented.

this is our conversation:

Me: Is this U1 comes with partial Tegimented or fully Tegimented ?

Sales Lady: This one comes with steel bracelet.  :Laughing_on_floor: ( small kid also know that one is steel bracelet )

Me: I mean the case material, this one is partially Tegimented  or Fully Tegimented ?

~She ask me to wait and will check with her colleague

Sales Lady: This one have another model in black but in rubber strap ( which is SDR version )

~ then she show me the U1 SDR with black bezel

Me: not this one. i wanted to know this model is Tegimented or not ? ( picking up the U1 with stainless steel bracelet )

Sales Lady:  wait for a moment, i'll check with my supervisor.

~then she came back and give me  :Dancing_banana: answer

Sales Lady: This one is a Diver watch, and you can use for it diving one, and it's water resistant
( Yes i know the U1 is diving watch, can see from it's rotating bezel, and of course diving watch MUST be water resistant &         she's not answering my question )
Sometimes it's frustrating when no knowledge sales attended come and give you with their funny funny answer

Me: it's okay la, i'm looking for a Tegimented one

~then she ask me a question that is a "SINN" from a customer

Sales Lady: what is Tegimented ?  :HammerHead: ( you should know your thing what  :Scolding:)

Me: then i explain to  her about the case hardness, the vickers, resistant to scratches, from 316 steel, 904 steel, and submarine steel and the Tegimented process itself

Sales Lady: Ohh. i seee

~Then she show me the catalog & the pricelist then only i found out this one is partially Tegimented.
So hard just for a answer : "partially Tegimented"

Am i ignorance for keep asking for the Tegimented thinggy? LOL

She should thank you bro as because of you, she'd probably learnt something new and not look so clueless the next time a customer asks the same question.

A friend saw me wearing a Vostok GMT and commented:

Fren: Nice watch
Me: Thanks. Vostok GMT
Fren: Oh, new one ah?
Me: Yes, new.
Fren: Old Vostok still OK but new Vostok too commercialised ... not pure Russian technology anymore.
Me:  :o
