Title: LUMIX X series lenses

Need some advise,
For LUMIX x series power zoom lenses

For those who knows
Which is better value between Lumix new 4/3  lense x14-42mm pancake and tele x45-175mm.
I intent to purchase one soonest.

Tough question.

Generally I'm not in favour of power zoom lenses. Hard to control and waste of battery.
It is difficult to compare both lenses because they cover different focal lengths.
For general use I would say the 14-42mm may be more suitable since it covers 28-84mm in 35mm equiv.
If you're into telephoto shots such as sports or nature then you may also need the 45-175mm telephoto zoom (90-350mm in 35mm equiv).
If budget is no constraint and you want more flexibility and versatility then get both.
Just my 2 cents.

Thanks Danny,

I just settled fir pancake zoom 1st,
Tested both, pancake have more define quality picture when zoom,
Furthermore its still fit into current casing,..more handy if travel lite
