I'm considering a IWC Mark XVII and i came across STOWA where the flieger just looks as good as the Mark17. The price is a factor as STOWA's price comes way lower than the IWC. Any reviews or suggestions on the STOWA Flieger?

I think the stowa and laco flieger are really big bang for buck
If u prefer something even more vintage like, the Laco flieger with bead blasted finish is even more retro. I have mine on the closed loop strap... Unfortunately I'm letting it go...

Yea. I see this german pilot watch are quite value for money with the popular ETA2824 ;D
-
Yes bro. The movement is robust and very accurate.
Well... If u prefer bead blasted, drop me a PM hehe

The 2824 is not only robust but easy to service. Spare parts are readily available.

Buy before gst, can pm me if have specific question on stowa or its flieger

IMHO, I would go for IWC mark series. Used watch with mint condition can be found with reasonable price. Tho reasonable is a very subjective thing

Prefer IWC, may consider pre-owned market if that's ok for you.

Stowa is really a good brand, it is solide and easy to service. Their prices are increasing because the value for money is (was,) unbeatable.

Yeah, I noticed the prices of Stowa displayed in the official store has increased astronomically. A watch that was €700-ish incl. VAT several years ago, is now selling €1,200 incl. VAT. Granted costs of material and workmanship has gone up quite significantly since then.
