wo wo... my next target...my parents also said this is best of china....
Yes, Zhangjiajie is one of the best. The air is cool, the landscape is breathtaking, the food is generous and exotic, the wine and beer are cheap, the people are loud and direct, the history of the Hunan province is absorbing (museum in Changsha is a must to visit)....... but be prepared to walk and climb a lot. Having also travelled to Xinjiang, Yunnan and Guangxi the past few years, I can say that ZJJ is probably more physically demanding than these former destinations (OK, OK, I am older now). There are 999 steps up to the Tianmen Cave....the walk through Yellow Dragon cave system takes 2 hours of much walking and climbing.....But I guess it's worth every step.
Go there when you are young and your legs are strong!!
