IMHO, I prefer this particular solid back PO rather that the one with the 'skyfall' view back. After all this is a tool watch....

I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

The bracelet on the PO is one of the comfortable i've seen till now. I feel it is even more comfortable than the oyster bracelets. Oyster bracelets feel tinny while the PO bracelet feels solid and well finished. Congrats on your purchase. Cheers!

Anybody got the blue bezel & dial version of the PO? That is one hell of a cool looking watch. Not very common and carries on the Seamaster tradition very well.

I bought the original rubber strap with orange stitching for my PO and loving it! The rubber is durable and looks awesome with the deployant clasp. My PO is the 45.5 version and I personally feel that the rubber wears better than the bracelet as it is less heavy.

Hi sifus, newbie here. Infact also new to watch as about to buy my first premium watch.
Had my eye fix on Seamaster PO, and been putting it as my wall paper in laptop n phone. To check if I hangat tahi ayam, or is the design/look would really last.

Well, few months ago u had some craze over tag carrera, but that faded of like in 2 weeks.

Need to get some advice,
Which is the best place to buy? Giving most discount and trust worthy
One of the AD( not to name) [No disscusion on discount - Mod], but could only provide the warranty card but not receipt, is it worth the risk ( in case of counterfeit?)
Lastly, on the strap, understand that it is personal preference , but wouldn't be steel would be more lasting in term of trend than the rubber. Rubber does look nice but I guess it would be outdated? No offense to the bro here which own a rubber strap.

Many thanks in advance.

No offense taken. I actually bought my watch with the steel bracelet and bought the rubber strap later for a change in style. Sooo...I pretty much have the best of both worlds. I still interchange the straps according to my mood. The watch looks very different when on a bracelet and on rubber. 45.5mm with the bracelet is quite a heavy watch. I personally think that it wears better on rubber and I have mine on it maybe 70% of the time. For me, it should be ok if you have the original guarantee cards with the matching case number. If the AD is giving more discount than stipulated, they would normally not issue a receipt for the fear of getting caught with price throwing and ultimately, losing the dealership. If it is a reputable AD, the chances of a counterfeit is probably close to nil. However, do your homework and learn to tell the difference between a real and fake piece. It should be fairly obvious.

Thanks bro, for u favorable advice.
Think I should go for the metal bracelet first. May be get the rubber strap later.
Isn't it hard to swap? Anyway the damage is too heavy for me to get other strap for now

Ur point on the AD is noted.
I might proceed to make the kill today, n join the family

It is not very difficult to swap the straps but it could be a little tricky at first. The AD or Omega boutique will do it for you willingly if you do not want to get your hands "dirty". Also have a look at the Tudor Pelagos and the Rolex Sub (if you could stretch your budget) before making the final decision. Happy shopping!

Hi Yikkie, thanks for ur advice.
Already pickup my watch today at 6pm. (They had also picked my pocket liao,, joking joking).
Hourglass at Garden does give good discount, with receipt.
So now official joint the PO club, and also the Gardens club too if it mean anything.

Din check out Tudor or Rolex. I would think Rolex is rather for mature uncle, and also read somewhere that Rolex is over rated in malaysia. At anyhow, I do like the omega brand for now.

Will probably not do much review as I am still a noob in this aspect.

I hav the 8500 45.5mm on full black rubber strap since day one. It's my daily beater n I must say it feels awesome!!! Very comfy n practical - can be washed regularly to keep it clean. I hav thought of getting the metal bracelet but hav been told its very bulky n heavy. Wat u all think?

A 8500 movement is better in terms of reliability and some more it has 60 hrs power reserve.

Thanks.

Good value considering it is still at least 25-30% cheaper than a sub-c
