Dear MWF
Are watches cheaper at Changi airport than Malaysia or even KLIA? For Swiss or higher end Seiko watches.

Generally airport are cheaper due to tax free... as to whether they are cheaper (between SG and KL), it really depends on the currency fluctuation (if you used credit card, bank charges are more than the market rate)...
Also, airport may not have the particular watch that you are looking for cause normally they used occupy a small store compared to the ones at malls...

Main criteria would be the currency and tax at the time u purchase.

changi airport have a great wide range of watch, and price are obviously lower due to the tax free. they now have IWC, JLC and some other luxury brand there.

Or can try Dubai airport but it’s all depends on forex.

Generally will be cheaper because of tax free. But sometimes due to currency changes and credit card charges the price could be almost the same if you buy locally.

I was looking at Zenith El Primero Chronomaster last I fly from Changi, for that particular model, sticker price is significantly cheaper than in KL.
Around SGD7k vs RM33k
Granted the KL price is before discount, but it is still cheaper
