I have an old Rolex Oysterdate that belongs to my grandfather. It has been lying about for 50 years. you think it can be salvaged? i would like to get it going for sentimental reasons.
Would appreciate it if anybody can recommend me a rolex expert.
Depending on condition. I am still occasionally wearing a 44 year old 1603 and it generally works fine (just one occasion when it stopped but with a little "movement", it was ok since then) so I don't see why it cannot be salvaged if it is well kept. Any rust exterior? (I assume you haven't opened it to have a peek
on the inside).
Wearing your granddad's watch will be special ...
If you have the budget, best to go to a RSC, else you can try MWF own shop.
